Docs link checker
Crawl up to 50 pages of a documentation site and get a health score with the top issues: broken internal and external links, broken anchors, orphan pages, redirect chains, sitemap problems, soft 404s, duplicate titles and more, each with a concrete fix.
How it works
- Enter the docs root URL, for example https://docs.example.com or https://example.com/docs.
- We read robots.txt and your sitemap, crawl up to 50 pages and status-check the links they contain.
- You get a score out of 100 and the issues sorted by severity. Sign up to see everything and to be alerted when it breaks again.
FAQ
- How is the health score calculated?
- It starts at 100. Per 100 pages crawled, each critical issue subtracts 5 points, each warning 2 and each notice 0.5. Sites under 50 pages are scored as if they had 50, so one problem on a small site does not zero the score, and it never goes below 0.
- Will it slow down my site?
- No. The crawler uses at most 3 concurrent requests per host with a 250 ms delay, honours robots.txt and Crawl-delay, and identifies itself as PathIntactBot.
- Why only 50 pages?
- The free check is a sample. Paid plans crawl up to 25,000 pages per site on a schedule and only alert on confirmed changes.
